The A.E.D.[defibrillator] recently acquired by the Church will be wonderful addition in providing
emergency care anywhere in the building. It`s use complements
those other aids listed below.
#1-A true emergency must be recognized quickly as opposed to
a simple "faint".
#2-If an emergency exists, Ushers and others need to work
quickly to:
Remove the
person to the nearest open flat surface [aisle]
One person
calls 911 [by cell]
Another
starts C.P.R.
Another acquires the A.E.D. &
attaches it to the person
At this point, the person is stabilized until the A.E.D. decides if a shock is needed &if so will give it.
