Theme: I Go to Prepare a Place for You

Description:

The east and west windows on the Narthex south side portray two very important post-resurrection events—our Lord's Ascension and His return to the world in the third person of the Trinity. The window to the east, The Ascension, is traditional in concept. The window to the west, The descent of the Holy Spirit, has significant symbolism. The Holy Spirit is symbolized as the hovering dove. The swirling lines are symbolic of the mighty rushing wind that accompanied the descent. These symbolic lines are shown coming down in a circular motion encompassing humanity and finally revealing His true Presence in tongues of fire upon their heads.

Notes:

Donated by Miss Mary MacFarlane's whose brother, Reginald H. MacFarlane, had been a Charter Member of this congregation and also Treasurer of the Church for many years.
