Lent & Easter Worship Services
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a period of 40 days leading up to Easter.
A sacrament of the Lord's Supper.
Good Friday Tenebrae Service
The Good Friday service is a solemn service of joy. We gather to reflect on the fact that we are not alone. It is a distinctive ceremony in which candles and light are gradually extinguished while passages and psalms are read.
Good Friday Cross Walk
Join us as we walk together for 1 kilometer, the same distance Jesus travelled to the cross. We stop at various locations in the neighbourhood according to the "stations of the cross" as we pray and share reflective readings. All are welcome including any four-legged friends. The walk is followed by a light brunch at the church.
Easter Sunrise Service
The Easter Sunrise Service is an early morning, interactive and informal outdoor service at a nearby park close to the church. It's a joyous time to welcome Easter, celebrate the resurrection, and gather just as Mary gathered at first dawn. The service is followed by a light lunch at the church.
Easter Sunday Services
Join us in an Easter celebration as we share the good news! Sunday school and nursery care will be provided for both Easter Sunday services. All singers are invited to join a choir section in singing Handel's Hallelujah Chorus at the conclusion of each service.
ADVENT & CHRISTMAS SERVICES
December is a very busy time in our life at the church with many different events and services.
Christmas Grief Group
A service for those grieving at Christmas is held every December. This year our Grief Service was held on Wednesday December 12th. For more information click here.
Service of Lessons and Carols
A special service held in mid-December, with lessons and carols presented by the choir. This year, this service was held on Sunday December 16 at 7:00 pm.
Sunday Before Christmas Service
There will be two services on the Sunday before Christmas at 9:00AM and 11:00AM. The 9:00 am service will be a Fresh Start Christmas service; the 11:00 am service will be our traditional Christmas service.
Christmas Eve Service
There are various Christmas Eve services for young ones, families and friends and a candlelight communion service.
4:00PM: Service for toddlers who act out the Christmas story and gather to share the joy of Christmas.
5:30PM: Family service for all generations to hear and tell the Christmas story.
10:30PM: Candlelight communion as we sing Silent Night and share the love that Christmas brings.
A Pet Blessing
Following the examples of St. Francis of Assisi and John Wesley, our Pet Blessing Service is held outdoors on the church lawn. We encourage members of our community to bring their pets and share in the blessing and service.
