Coldest Night of the Year

Coldest Night of the Year

Join us for KLUC’s 2025 Coldest Night of the Year (Day) Walk!

On Saturday, February 22nd, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, we’re walking 2 km through our neighbourhood to support Etobicoke’s Haven on the Queensway, a local non-profit which provides food, clothing, and vital resources to those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.

Last year for our inaugural walk we had 50 walkers. Please consider joining us this year and bringing a friend. Whether you’re a first-time walker or returning, your involvement will make a difference.

Please contact CNOY Walk Captains Jeff L., Haylee N, or Donna-Lee W. at Coffee Hour or at  outreach@kingswaylambton.ca. We hope to see you there!

Gardening on the Edge – Adapting You & Your Garden to Climate Warming

Record breaking temperatures, unprecedented rainfall, storm events, extended growing seasons and shortened winters have led to revisions in plant hardiness zones.  Carolinian flora, unique for its beauty, rarity and attraction to native pollinators is extending well beyond its southern Ontario base.

Want to teeter on the edge?

Join our presenter, Frank Kershaw, who will share his more than 50 yr. of gardening experience with unusual plants in difficult times.  Frank will provide insight, success stories and techniques to ensure longevity of the many trees, shrubs, vines and perennials that are making inroads during this time of change.

Upcoming dates: Mar 18 & Apr 15
