This Sunday we are celebrating the 100^th Anniversary of The United Church of Canada.  Do you know how old Kingsway-Lambton is?

It is also Pentecost Sunday and we will explore God’s presence,
The Holy Spirit.

That the Crest of The United Church of Canada...

- is the official signature of The United Church of Canada and is a registered trademark.
- was designed by Dr. V. T. Mooney whose son, Ken, was a member of Kingsway-Lambton.

- includes the following symbols:

    - an outline of a fish (oval shape - a symbol of identity by early Christians)
    - an “X” (traditional symbol for Christ)
    - an open Bible (represents the Congregational Churches)
    - a dove (symbol of the Holy Spirit and represents Methodism)
    - a burning bush (represents Presbyterianism)
    - the letters Alpha and Omega (the eternal, living God)

- was revised in 2012 to include the four colours of the Indigenous medicine wheel.

Following the service, a light lunch will be served.

Donate your magazines to Mary Sheffield House, a part of the Fred Victor Mission.

Mary Sheffield House provides temporary housing to women,  55+ years old who have difficulties with health and mental health, developmental, mobility and/or addictions issues and are otherwise homeless.  

Magazines must be less than one year old.  We welcome news, sports, Toronto Life or similar, Zoomer or similar, People or similar travel magazines.  Please no fashion or decor magazines.

There will be a dropbox at the glass doors for the month of June.  These donations are a welcome gift to the House Book Nook and much appreciated by all the ladies in residence!

Join us for Coffee (and treats) & Conversation
in the West Reception Room

Coffee and Conversation will be taking a break for the summer and will resume on Sept 18.

The Church and Community Engagement Lead will be a relationship-builder both within the Kingsway-Lambton faith-community and surrounding area.  Using strong planning and people skills, the Lead will ensure that church events are properly supported by enthusiastic volunteers. The Lead will look for opportunities to build and maintain strong relationships within the community, to maximize use of the church building and bring new people to Kingsway-Lambton.

Kingsway-Lambton is looking for a self-starter with a passion for helping others and keeping a busy church growing!  Through this role, the Lead will become an integral part of a long-standing church family.
