Summer Schedule
Many thanks to our Nursery Care Givers (Olivia, Mercey, Noelle and Irie) who are very experienced with babies and toddlers. Sunday, June 22, will be the final day of supervised infant care until Sunday September 7th. On summer Sundays, the Nursery Room will be open and available if a parent needs a quiet private place with their baby during the service. Sunday School will be led by Victoria on summer Sundays except Jun 29, August 3 & 31. Victoria will be ready with a craft and a Bible story for SK and up. Activity bags will be available in the Narthex from the Ushers if a child prefers to stay with a parent. Sunday School will resume on September 7th. Thanks to Haylee for her assistance over the past few months helping develop our Sunday School program. Have a safe and happy summer! |

Congratulations Charles!
The General Council of the United Church of Canada is the decision-making body for the United Church as both a denomination and a legal corporation. It’s 260 members, called Commissioners, with the majority elected by Regional Councils include clergy and lay members. In June 2024 Shining Waters Regional Council elected its 14 Commissioners including Charles Donley for a three year term. Following preliminary on line meetings in June the in person meeting will take place in Calgary over five days in August 2025. Annual one day on line meetings will be held in the subsequent two years. In addition to electing the Moderator and Executive members, reports and proposals will be considered which could deal with doctrine, worship, governance and denominational –shaping issues relating to public witness. |
