KLUC Fall Update

Kingsway-Lambton United Church
Kingsway-Lambton Fall Update - September 4, 2025
Greetings!

Greetings!

It is such good news that a new minister will be arriving in March. I encourage you to pray that God will bless this new chapter in the life of Kingsway Lambton Church.

With September we mark the beginning of a new year in the life of the church. As you can see by what is included in this e blast there is much happening and many opportunities to be involved.

There will be wonderful music and worship services, social activities, faith development and prayer groups, opportunities to reach out and care for the wider community and the exciting resurgence of the Sunday School and a Children’s Choir.

May God bless all that we do here at Kingsway Lambton this fall.

Rev. Don

Our annual event has always been a great kick off for the new year of activities with everyone pitching in to make it work.

Burgers and Hot Dogs need to be flipped,
Salads need to be contributed,
Helpers are always needed to make the event a lot of FUN!

Nursery, Sunday School & More ...

Victoria will once again lead our Sunday School Team.  Joining her are Mercy, Irie, Olivia and Noelle as caregivers and teachers.

Nursery Room

Our Nursery Room is available for infants to age three, providing a nurturing space while parents enjoy the service.  Please settle your infant/toddler in the nursery prior to the service.

One Room Sunday School

Children 3 and up begin in church and after the Children’s Moment, accompany Victoria to the respective room(s).

Sunday School Curriculum

Exciting news, we are starting a new curriculum!  Starting this fall, we will be using the Spark Lectionary curriculum, a fun, faith-filled way to explore the same Bible stories we hear in worship.

We are looking forward to learning and growing together as a church family!

Let’s “Spark!” their worlds!

Does Your Child or Grandchild Love Performing?

Does Your Child or Grandchild Love Performing?

Would they like to gain free exposure to a real theatre production?

Every fall, we cultivate confidence during our annual Christmas Pageant. Join us where characters come to life and talent meets opportunity when we present our recreation of the original Christmas story.

There are many ways to get involved, including opportunities for high school students to earn volunteer hours and build your resume with one of our production roles.

Parent volunteers are also essential to the success of the Pageant.

Key Dates:
Sign Up: Sun. Sept. 14 after 10 am service
Auditions: Sun. Sept. 21 after 10 am service
Weekly Rehearsals: Thursdays ~ Oct. 9 to Nov. 20

For more information, please email kingswaypageant@gmail.com

Wear Orange to Worship – Sunday, September 28, 2025

Everyone is invited to wear orange as we observe Orange Shirt Sunday -- the Sunday before the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation/Orange Shirt Day (September 30).

This simple act raises awareness and honours the Indigenous children who were taken from their families and communities and placed in the residential school system.

Together, let us reflect, remember and say:  Every child matters – then, now and always.
